New members who join by 31 March 2011, won’t have to serve the normal 2 & 6 month extras waiting period for Optical, General Dental, Physio, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Naturopathy/Homeopathy/Acupuncture, Ambulance subscription/transport, Audiology, Chiropractic/Osteopathy, Dietetics, Eye therapy and speech therapy, Fluoride dietary supplement, Nursing – Visiting/Home/Registered Nurse, Orthopaedic repairs, Podiatry, Psychology, Remedial massage and Speech therapy.
The 2 month waiting and/or benefit limitation period for psychiatric, rehabilitation and palliative care applies. Waiting periods such as 12 months for major dental, obstetrics and pre-existing conditions apply.
