Cervical Cancer Vaccinations, staying safe for life

Cervical cancer vaccination has real benefits for women up to 45 years of age, however not everyone is eligible for the National Cervical Cancer Vaccine Program.

You should discuss with your GP whether the vaccine is something you require and if it is, Australian Unity will  provide an 80% benefit on the third vaccine of the course as part of your health insurance.

Australian Unity is proud to be the first private health fund to pay a benefit for this important vaccination.

Also keep in mind that pap tests remain the first line of detection for cervical cancer so it's crucial that if you are a woman aged 18-70 and have ever been sexually active to have a pap test every two years, even if you have been vaccinated.

To claim, send a copy of the prescription for your third cervical cancer vaccination with a completed claim form to Australian Unity.

  • No waiting period applies
  • 80% benefit on the third vaccine of the three vaccine course
  • Lifetime limit of $200
  • A copy of your prescription is required
  • Available with all Hospital and Combination covers except Care and 'n Repair, Smart Start and Overseas Visitors Cover
