The cervical cancer vaccination has been shown to have real benefits for women up to 45 years of age, but not everyone is eligible for the National Cervical Cancer Vaccine Program.

And remember, pap tests remain the first line of detection for cervical cancer. Therefore it’s vital that all women aged 18-70 who have ever been sexually active, including those who have been vaccinated, to continue having pap tests every second year in line with Council Australia Recommendations.
