A hospital isn't the most pleasant place in the world to be in and most people who find themselves in hospital want to get home as soon as they can. As part of your health insurance, Australian Unity's member Support Program can help you do just that.
Member Support enables you to receive the health care you need in the comfort of your own home, provided that your doctor approves. The type of service provided include private nursing care, personal care, nappy services and childcare.
A Member Support Program nurse coordinator in conjunction with your doctor, will arrange the appropriate services for you so that you get the care you need.
Member support is not available at all hospitals, but where it is, the hospital staff or doctor will make the referral to the Member support program. Staff from Australian Unity are not involved in any clinical assessment.
