Gap cover that works
If you go to hospital and your doctor or specialist charges more than the Medicare Benefits Schedule fee, it’s up to you to pay the ‘gap’. But with our Ezyclaim system, your doctor or specialist agrees with HBA on the fee charged for services and also agrees to bill us directly, so in most cases there’s no gap and you don’t even see a bill. And if there is a gap, you’ll be advised of the amount before treatment.
Certainty of a single room or money back
Stay in a Members First hospital and you’ll get a single room. If there’s no single room available, you’ll receive $50 a day from the hospital for every day you’re not in one. This applies to any overnight admission booked at least the day before and excludes nursing home type patients, emergencies or where deemed medically inappropriate. And it’s available on most of our covers – a unique HBA feature. Available in Victoria and New South Wales.
