From the 1 April 2009, HBA will be providing rebates for bowel cancer screening kits as an additional benefit. According to the Cancer Council Australia, there are more than 12,500 new cases of bowel cancer each year, making it the second most common form of cancer in both men and women. Available on Detectacol and Insure kits, the rebate is $22 per kit. There is a maximum of 1 claim per person, per calendar year. Simply provide your test result slip to claim.
