Through HCF's Oral Health Program, members can get access to a range of no-gap diagnostic and preventative dental services. There are currently close to 3,000 providers registered on the HCF Oral Health program across VIC, QLD, ACT, SA and regional NSW. Members in metropolitan Sydney can access no-gap diagnostic and preventative dental services through HCF's Dental Centres.
How long has the HCF Oral Health Program been running?
Introduced in October 2001, the program has had an excellent rate of participation from dentists in regional and rural NSW. In July 2006, HCF extended the program to dentists in Victoria, Queensland and, from 1 July 2008, to South Australia.
How is the HCF Oral Health Program promoted?
The program is promoted through member magazine, e-newsletters, member mailings and client services officers.
How do patients claim?
Either through electronic claiming facilities (HICAPS or ISOFT) if these arrangements are available. If not, you can either receive accounts or receipts from your dentist and claim back yourself.
How long does this Agreement run for?
Participation in the HCF Oral Health Program is voluntary. You can withdraw from the program at any time by giving HCF 30 days notice in writing
Will the program be extended to cover other services, e.g. crowns?
No, the program aims to reward and encourage preventative treatment to promote good oral health.
How will i know if I am covered for this program?
All HCF members with cover for ‘extras’ are entitled to the benefits listed in this program.
