The MBF Asthma Management Program is offered at no additional cost to members with asthma on selected levels of MBF hospital cover. Asthma is an inflammatory disease that makes airways prone to narrowing and affects approximately two million Australians, including 9% of adults (aged over 25 years) and 24% of young adults and children (aged 24 and under).*
'Your Guide to Positively Managing Asthma' has information on diet and lifestyle management techniques. Also included is an asthma quiz. You can discuss the results with your doctor to help you improve your asthma management and quality of life. Download Your Guide to Positively Managing Asthma.
'The Asthma Action Plan' helps you to develop a personal action plan in consultation with your doctor. It has advice on how to cope when asthma symptoms get worse or when you feel asthma is out of control. The plan enables you to keep a record of your medications that provides important information for your doctor in working with you to help prevent and better manage any acute asthma attacks.
