THE NSW government will refuse to sign up to the federal government's proposed health and hospitals package before it has had a chance to consider the Henry tax review. NSW Premier Kristina Keneally told The Australian yesterday she wanted full detail of proposals for tax reform before agreeing to Kevin Rudd's proposal to seize 30 per cent of state GST receipts to fund a federal takeover of state-run public hospitals. "They may well be making other changes to the tax system this year," Ms Keneally said.
