All private health insurers have now won approval to raise their premiums.
Australian Unity's initial price rise was knocked back on Friday last week. But federal Health Minister Nicola Roxon has since given the insurer the go-ahead to raise its premiums by 4.91 per cent. This makes it the 35th and final insurer to have its increase approved.
From April 1, average health insurance costs will rise by 5.56 per cent.
